Tom is an award-winning comedian whose unique blend of intelligent wit, genial persona and storytelling flair mean he’s in high demand as an MC and support act on the UK comedy circuit.
A former accountant, Tom swapped spreadsheets for spotlights in 2007 and appeared in several new act competition finals, taking first place at Manchester’s famous Frog & Bucket club. He quickly established himself on the comedy circuit and has played comedy clubs from Hitchin to Hong Kong and from Newbury to New Zealand.
Tom regularly appears at the Edinburgh Fringe festival. In 2010, he was selected for the prestigious Comedy Reserve at the Pleasance and has followed that up with three successful Edinburgh Fringe festival solo shows. Tom co-created and co-starred in the award-winning family comedy show ‘Bec & Tom’s Awesome Laundry’, which has garnered multiple five star reviews and is currently touring the UK and Europe.
Tom has supported Fringe favourite The Boy With Tape On His Face on tour, fired questions at Sebastian Vettel on a F1 quiz show at the Italian Grand Prix and can be heard on his regular podcast Fixated, in which he interviews comedians about their obsessions. He has written topical comedy for BBC Radio’s The News Quiz and Newsjack. His first sitcom script ‘The Grind’ made it to the final 8 of the 2015 Sitcommission competition and his children’s comedy sketch scripts made it to the shortlist (top 10%) for CBBC’s Class Dismissed.
